ADICO is a Portuguese company founded in 1920, initially specializing in the production of metal furniture for hospitals.
In the 1930s, the company expanded its offerings to include a line of outdoor furniture, featuring one of its most iconic products: the iconic Portuguese chair. This chair, inspired by the German Bauhaus school and the curved steel tube designs of pioneering furniture designers such as René Herbst, Marcel Breuer, and Mies van der Rohe, has become a heritage piece of Portugal and it remains to these days a central feature in cafés and public spaces, specially in cities with protected heritage sites.
Today, ADICO continues to develop high-quality indoor and outdoor furniture and is globally recognized as a leading brand in the hospitality furniture market.
